Animal Society

Animal Society is a new sound in UK jazz, somewhere in the void between Rage Against The Machine, Pat Metheny and EST. Ringleader Joe Williamson, guitarist and winner of Young Scottish Jazz Musician Of The Year 2018, presents daring new music – cutting-edge electric jazz with the uncompromising power of a stadium rock band.

'hard-riffing band looking set to catch the current wave of progressive jazz and metal acts on the rise'

"Combining rock energy and power with jazz chops this is music that is simultaneously viscerally exciting and intellectually satisfying."

Graham Costello's STRATA

Named as one of Jazzwise Magazine's "One to Watch in 2019" and nominated for both "Best Band" and "Best EP/Album" at this year's Scottish Jazz Awards, Graham Costello’s STRATA blend stylistic elements of jazz, minimalism, and celebrated progressive/noise bands together with a strong DIY ethic, winning over audiences with towering dynamics and a raw and genuine enthusiasm. The music explores polyrhythm, collective groove and, at its true core, improvisation.

February 2019 will see the release of STRATA's full-length debut album "OBELISK".
